There are software available to block all spams that you might receive. So get a  spam blocking software.  These software programs are out there that you can simply purchase online. You may refer to www.cloudmark.com or www.mailwasher.net.  But if you got the budget, you may also buy a professional version.  Geting a spam software will save you time.  The software is not absolutely foolproof, but they really do help. Usually you have to do manual set it up to block certain types of email.

Spamnet is a spam filtering tool for Outlook and Outlook Express.Now it’s known as Cloudmark Desktop. It uses a unique community-based filtering process. It is a spam blocker that helps fight  This filtering system relies on users to report about any new spam.  Within minutes of a spammer being reported, the spammers are placed on a blacklist.  At that point, no other member will receive that particular spam.  Cloudmark also applies the same basic process to phishing email scams.

Whenever you open your emails, you certainly get annoyed at all the spam mails that you get. This is a sad fact that we all must face.

According to Scott McAdams, OMA Public Affairs and Communications Department (www.oma.org):

“Studies show unsolicited or “junk” e-mail, known as spam, accounts for roughly half of all e-mail messages received. Although once regarded as little more than a nuisance, the prevalence of spam has increased to the point where many users have begun to express a general lack of confidence in the effectiveness of e-mail transmissions, and increased concern over the spread of computer viruses via unsolicited messages.”

What do you think would be worse than finding a lot of spam mails in your inbox?

Viruses! Yes, there are spam mails that really do not contain any message at all but an attachment that can have viruses. Big corporations often have filters that block these viruses before they get to you. But personal email is far more open for spammers. To avoid this, remember that if you do not recognize the sender of an email, do not open it.To protect yourself,  look for services that offer filtering.

Don’t register to any site using your primary email or the email that you use for personal purposes , and another email for business transactions. You can have several emails so that your inbox will not be flooded by unwanted mails coming from commercial advertisements. Do this to protect yourself from spams.
